synopsis
Using the motif of a couple's intimate moment, Drinking Raoule explores issues of gender and sexuality. Through sensual imagery, the male character is seen as the object of the 'female gaze' - a role reversal revealed in contrast to the central theme: romantic ideals collide with societal attitudes toward women's sexuality.
